Welcome at the Schlueck Literary Agency
The Schlueck Agency in Hannover/Germany, is representing German authors locally and abroad, as well as handling German translation rights for international publisher and agency clients. Founded 1973 by Eva and Thomas Schlueck, the Agency is now run by Bastian Schlueck and Joachim Jessen.
As of January 2011, the Agency maintains an office in Muenchen, run by Franka Zastrow. The Schlueck Agency is likely to be the largest Literary Agency in Germany and represents international publishers, for instance St. Martin’s Press (USA), Simon & Schuster (UK) and Grand Central Publishing (USA), as well as agencies, for instance, Writers House LLC (USA), Harvey Klinger Inc. (USA), Darley Anderson Literary TV & Film Agency (UK), MBA Literary Agents Ltd. (UK). For special projects outside our core activities, we collaborate with other agents.
For our international Clients, we negotiate German deals for authors like Tana French, Barbara Wood, Tess Gerritsen, Lori Nelson Spielman, Suzanne Collins, Leigh Bardugo, Lee Child, Karen Rose and the estate of Prof. Stephen Hawking. Among German authors, represented directly, are: Dora Heldt, Petra Huelsmann, Andreas Eschbach, Julia Kroehn, Richard Duebell, Sarah Lark, Prinz Asfa-Wossen Asserate, Ines Thorn, Thomas Thiemeyer, Tessa Hennig, Arno Strobel, Daniel Wolf, Alice Pantermüller, Gil Ribeiro, Pierre Lagrange, Mark Roderick, Anne Barns, Luis Sellano, Eva Almstädt as well as the estate of Robert Gernhardt.
